Email not verified and unable to get SES quota

I'm getting this error:

"Your 'from email', (or its domain) is not verified in your SES console, your emails cannot be sent. Please see Step 6 of our Get Started Guide on how to verify http://sendy.co/get-started" but my email is perfectly fine, it is verified and it has always been verified.

Also, it says "Unable to get your SES quota from Amazon. You won't be able to send emails as well. Verify that your AWS credentials are correct. If you're certain they're correct and are still seeing zeros in your quota, your server clock is out of sync. To fix this, Amazon requires you to sync your server clock with NTP. Request your host to do so if you're unsure."

My credentials have been always okay! What is going on here?

On my amazon, everything is verified and alright:

AMAZON: Sending Quota: send 50000 emails per 24 hour period Quota Used: 0% as of 2013-06-07 21:15 UTC-3 Max Send Rate: 14 emails/second

Complaints and bounces

After setting up the complaints and bounces in amazon, I am still geeting a message: We've detected that bounces or complaints have not been setup. Bounces and complaints are working normally...

Making A List Private

Is two forward slashes normal on Sendy Install?

On my installation the url has two forward slashes at the end. Is this normal? For example: it is www.example.com//. If it's not normal, is there a reason this may be caused?

Amazon SES suspension after human investigation

Hi,

I spend the most of last Tuesday trying to figure out how to set the DNS timer (or something like that) because I suddenly was disconnected from Amazon SES, only to find out later that day that the problem might be with Amazon. When I tried to login, I was told that I didn't have an account there.

So I created a ticket, and got an answer today. This is what they wrote:

Dear Britt,

Thank you for contacting Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) in regards to your Amazon SES Account. I have verified at this time your Amazon SES sending privileges have been suspended. This suspension is related to a human investigation of your sending. I have included the suspension notice below. You may appeal this suspension to ses-enforcement@amazon.com. In your appeal, please explain in detail either why you believe the suspension itself was an error, or details as to changes you have made to ensure that the same issue does not occur again.

Suspension notice:

Dear Amazon Simple Email Service Customer,

Your account has been suspended, effective immediately.

This immediate suspension occurred because we have conducted a human investigation of your Amazon SES sending, and the results of our investigation lead us to strongly believe that you are sending mail that is not compliant with the Amazon Web Services Acceptable Use Policy (http://aws.amazon.com/aup/).

Amazon SES is designed for messages that have been specifically requested by the recipient. The Acceptable Use Policy requires that "You will not distribute, publish, send, or facilitate the sending of unsolicited mass e-mail or other messages, promotions, advertising, or solicitations (like "spam"), including commercial advertising and informational announcements." Amazon SES investigates cases in which messages appear to violate the Acceptable Use Policy or are not desired by the recipient, whether due to being unsolicited or for any other reason.

We cannot reveal our anti-abuse techniques and information sources, so we recommend that you reexamine your sending by considering the following: Are all the messages that you send specifically requested by the recipient and do they comply with the Acceptable Use Policy? Have you acquired email addresses in any way other than a customer specifically interacting with your site and requesting emails from it? Do the services you advertise comply with the Acceptable Use Policy as well?

We also recommend that you read the Amazon SES Best Practices guide: http://media.amazonwebservices.com/AWS_Amazon_SES_Best_Practices.pdf.

This suspension notice supersedes any previous probation warnings you may have received. If you wish to appeal this suspension, please respond to this email with details of how you will change your sending in order to avoid this problem or why you think this notice may be incorrect.

All my subscribers have gone through a double opt in on AWeber, before I imported them in Sendy. I am definitely NOT sending out spam.

What to do? I can appeal, they say, but what if this happens again? I don't trust them after this.

List Unsubscribe Header

Would it be possible to add a list unsubscribe header to emails sent from Sendy? I understand that this is a reputable thing for bulk marketing senders to use?

Inline Images / Embedded Images

Hi,

I am not sure what the current status is. I think it's a common problem that major mail clients like Microsoft Outlook do not load pictures from URLs by default. And yes, only pictures loaded from Sendy-URLs are able to track.

But: From our experience it makes sense to create a mail with inline pictures based on cid:-URLs ( to my knowledge AddEmbeddedImage in PHP or 'ContentDispostion.Inline' in C#) because these mails are perfect in mail clients like Outlook.

In addition (!) we alway add a 1x1 public-URL image for tracking and convert the link-URLs to track clicks.

Now... any chance to make this happen in Sendy?

CRM to Sendy to CRM

Not sure if this kind of message is allowed here, if it isn't I apologize.

I purchased Sendy for my company because the campaigns module of CRM is, well, awful. If Sendy could be made a module of our CRM (we use SugarCRM CE), well that would be almost perfect!

One of the uses of our CRM to maintain mailing lists. I've created lists with the same name in Sendy. I've exported the names from our CRM and imported them in to Sendy.

I would like to hire someone to write a module or program to transfer the lists automatically from our CRM to Sendy and then back to our CRM when people either subscribe, unsubscribe or opt-out.

If anyone on this forum is interested in bidding for the project, please contact me.

After installation on nginx, i had a redirect loop on login

I have installed sendy on my server with nginx and php-fpm. After the instalation, when i try to login, i have a redirect loop on login.

Bounce tracking

I have setup SNS correctly. sending mail to bounce@simulator.amazonses.com gets flagged as bounce in Sendy report. On the similar pattern I have created another wrong email Address - nishant@gmailiiiyy.com. Mails sent to this email are not treated as bounce by sendy. How to correct it? If it doesn't work Amazon will block my account for any big campaign.

At the moment, when I import subscribers (via CSV) to a list, it automatically set their status to "subscribed". is it possible to import the subscribers as "Unconfirmed" and shoot them an email with the confirmation link?

Sendy always shows Bounces complaints were not set up

I have tried setting up Bounces, Complaints several times. went through All SNS steps (get started guide step 7 , 8) even then while sending newsletters sendy always shows me Bounces, Complaints were not set up. I have enable SNS for all verified senders in Amazon SES console. I was even able to register bounces for bounce@simulator.amazonses.com but still sendy always shows the warning - Bounces, Complaints were not set up. Also even after enabling Email Feedback warning , I dont receive any email for bounces

We just installed and configured Sendy and sent out a mail without any issue. We then set up our SNS topics and subscriptions and set the bounce and complaint feedback settings in SES to the appropriate SNS subscription. Our SNS console indicates that the subscription has been CONFIRMED and Sendy indicates before sending that bounces and complaints are set up properly. However, when we send mail to a purposely incorrect email address, we never get a bounce in our report.

We only use one email address for Sendy currently, and that is the only email address have updated in SES to use the SNS feedback topics.

I cannot hand out login credentials, but I can do appropriate troubleshooting on our end. Any help would be appreciated.

Multiple Administrators

We should have the ability to have multiple master administrators and multiple administrators for each brand. This is a fairly important feature to us and I'm surprised that it doesn't exist.
