Not picking up SNS bounces

Guys, please could you assist?

I'm receiving failure emails but not seeing the bounces in Sendy. I set up a list with the bounce@simulator.amazonses.com etc test emails to verify the problem.

In AWS SNS I can see that everything looks ok, is not pending etc.

I can't see what the problem is.


Subscribe user to another list by clicking a link in an email

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how I can subscribe user to another list.

I have two lists. One is "Initial Signup" and Second is "Confirmed List"

When my user is subscribed to "Initial Signup" I send them a drip email immediately to ask them to confirm their registration, the link actually would subscribe them to another list.

I am doing this so that I can capture the people who have just opted in as well as users who have confirmed their subscription as well

How can I make use of Sendy API? Currently I am putting a href link of http://sendyurl/subscribe?email=[Email]&list=listcode_for_second_list

Help me please.

Link redirects to localhost

Hello,

I starting to use Sendy today..
I have a problem with redirections.

When I click on link in an email sent by Sendy, I get redirected to localhost.
Also the unsubscribe page is blank.

Do you have any idea, what the problem could be?

Created templates folder in root sendy install, now getting 404 error whenever I click on templates. Removed the templates folder I created, and still getting 404 error. Please help.

My sendy installation can´t send a unique confirmation email to users in all of my brands and lists. Im using amazon and mandrill app. Can you help me please?

Confirmation on unsubscribe page

Hi there,

Is there any way to have the unsubscribe link ask for confirmation before actually unsubscribing the user? We currently use a custom page to direct them to, but by then it's too late.

We send out paid-for emails to our customers and just need them to confirm they want to unsubscribe before going ahead with it, so we can avoid people mistakenly doing this (which has happened).

My Sendy / Amazon Experience

I'm thrilled with my results.

Day One: Purchased Sendy... Went through setup process. The sendy setup process was pretty simple, the amazon ses process was not as simple, I made a couple of mistakes along the way, but was able to correct them and quickly get back on track by re-reading the instructions.

Day Two: Downloaded my lists from aweber, merged them all into a single list (with all duplicates removed) using a Cliff Carrigan email tool (http://cliffcarrigan.com) just email the guy, he'll give you awesome custom email tools for free. - Sent out my first email.

My daily send limit was 10,000 with a 5 per second limit.

I requested a daily increase from amazon.

Day Three: I logged into my sendy script to send out another email - Amazon has increased my daily limit from 10,000/5per sec to 100,000/28per sec.

My mailing is currently going out.

This is my third day with Sendy and life is good... My list is a lot smaller than 100k, so I have plenty of room to grow.

All of my emails seem to be hitting the inbox.

So, I'm 3 days in with Sendy and have a complete mailing solution with plenty of growing room.

It is a good day indeed.

Email addresses in email body converted to "[email protected]"

Dear Support,

Every time I insert an email address e.g. support address in my messages, it keeps changing to [email protected]. I've tried changing the link type to email and once saved it changes to [email protected]... When I click on this it shows that it is:

Link Type: URL Protocol: Other URL: /cdn-cgi/l/email-protection

I'm getting some what annoyed with this as I wish to provide a support email address at the end of my messages... But on the recipient end they are unable to see this, other than this [email protected] which is not helpful at all to my email list...

In addition my domain is using Cloudflare CDN - so I'm not sure if this is related but cannot see how... I've disabled Cloudflare and it does nothing... The problem happens whilst in sendy when creating messages... As soon as I enter an email address in a message and save it, I get this [email protected] overwrite...

How can I disable this? Appreciate any help, guidance on this...

Unsubscribe user from list, subscribe again and send Autoresponder

Trying to use Sendy to send transactional emails, which may be sent multiple times. I have a DRIP campaign with an email set up to send immediately. I'm making my calls with this process:

  • Send contact details via API to subscribe endpoint (if not on list already, it will send successfully)
  • If "User already subscribed error":
    • Unsubscribe user via API
    • If successfully unsubscribed, wait 70 seconds (figured that's long enough for any list related cron activity)
      • Subscribe user via API

The user is subscribed again successfully, but the autoresponder isn't sending that second time. What can I do to make this work?

After fresh install, cannot get past login screen.

I have read the other posts of people that have had this problem, and I am unsure what to do next.

When I try to log in to Sendy (http://tinkersource.com/email) It will briefly flash the dashboard then redirect back to the login screen.

I saw that the problem could be related to session.save_path not being set, so I uploaded this page here: http://tinkersource.com/phpinfo.php which shows that it does have values set. I am not sure what to do next?

Change list ownership

I'm trying to change the ownership of different lists, so that they are managed by another user.

Should we just edit the app number at the lists table, placing the ID of the new user? Any other required changes?

Unable to display SES quota

I don't know why I'm receiving the message my e-mail address isn't verified. I've done the following:

Verified SES region on sendy is configured to match what's on SES:

I'm trying to figure out how to set up a double opt-in sequence. I see little to no documentation in the interface. I also tried youtube and didn't see much there either.


Translate interaction message during subscription

Hi,

I successfully use the po file to translate sendy. It works well on the interface.

Problem: while using the subscribe/unsuscribe url and forms, the messages are still displayed in english.

For example "A confirmation email has already been sent to you". Even if the string is translated in the po file?

I would love to get any suggestion.

How do I backup Sendy

Hi Everyone, I am stuck here as to how to backup my Sendy Installation. I have looked here and on the web and cannot find a proper course of action to take. What I want to do is use FileZilla or some other App to backup not only the Sendy Folder but also the MySQL Database. I am not sure if backup the folder is just enough. I am sure others would benefit from a step by step guide..

Where do I setup Drip Campaign

This is my first experience with an auto responder and I am incredibly lost right now. I know what I want done, but figuring it out is very difficult. How do I set up a drip campaign for a list? I can't find an easy way to do this (which isn't saying much since I haven't done it before...lol).

Is there a manual or anything that walks someone through this? Something newbie friendly...preferably.

I'm in the testing phase of Sendy. I just added myself to an autoresponder drip campaign through the API. I have a thank you message setup and have the option checked to send me a message after I subscribe. However I have not received the message. Is there some sort of delay? I was wondering how I can figure out what's going on or if there's anything I can do to troubleshoot this.
