Update a custom field of all the subscribers in a segment via API

Hi Ben,

Is it possible to update a custom field of all the subscribers in a segment via API in one call. I know it is possible to update the details of one subscriber at a time via the API. However, I wanted to know if I can pass the segment id and the custom field that I want to update and that custom field gets updated for all the subscribers in the segment?
